ABOUT IWWL

This association was born out of a vision to bring Igbo women living in West London and surrounding counties together. This was due to perceived negative impact of isolated lifestyle on the mental health of Igbo women living in Diaspora.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to promote networking among Igbo women and to foster friendship among us and our families. ‘Nwanne malu nwanne ya’. When we come together, we speak our language thereby promoting our language and our culture. We aim to work collaboratively to support one another in times of joy and in challenging times, ‘O nulu ube nwanne agbana oso’.

OUR MISSION

To enhance Igbo women’s life chances through motivational events, regular meet and greet events. We aim to have talks around common challenges faced by IWWL ladies and give professional advice and support. Any great opportunity that will benefit our sistas, will be signposted to increase our chances of making a huge impact in this foreign land where we live. Udo na Ifunanya is our cultural theme.
